PI CHAPTER ALUMNI FUND SCHOLARSHIPS/GRANTS
The KENLEY R. HOOVER LEADERSHIP AWARD, named in honor of the 22nd National President from Pi Chapter, Past President of the Sigma Tau Gamma Foundation, and currently Chairman of the Society of Seventeen. $250 scholarship granted each semester to a member for outstanding chapter leadership. This is a one time award and usually goes to a Chapter Officer.
The C.M. ‘POP’ JOHNSON SCHOLARSHIP was named in memory of Pi Chapter’s long-time faculty advisor, is granted each semester for $250 to the member with the highest Grade Point Average (GPA).
The WILLIAM A. CORNELL SCHOLARSHIP, named in honor of the 14th National President from Pi Chapter, awards $250 each semester to the member with the most improved GPA.
The DR. KENNETH WINEBRENNER LEADERSHIP AWARD, named in memory of the Pi Chapter Founder , who was third National President and our second chief executive, is a $250 scholarship granted each semester to a member who exhibits outstanding campus leadership.
ALUMNI NEWSLETTER FUNDING is to assist with the newsletter on a 50/50 basis, with an annual max. of $500. Receipts need to be provided.
GRAND CHAPTER OR NATIONAL CONCLAVE FUNDING up to $500 grant is provided for participation to be divided equally among all participants. Any one participant may use a max. of $250. Usually the checks are given to the attendees at the meeting.

Jack V. Balderson or Kenley R. Hoover, along with appropriate documentation to support verification of accomplishment, i.e. official university transcripts and/or any other support items.
